Position Summary:

Florida Atlantic University is seeking an Assistant Dietitian - Boca Raton, FL.


The Assistant Dietitian supports the football nutrition program by assisting with daily operations, meal planning, athlete consultations, and supplement screening for NCAA compliance. This role helps manage fueling stations, inventory, and vendor relationships while providing evidence-based nutrition education and fostering a positive environment for student-athletes.


Summary of Responsibilities:


  • Assist the football dietitian in overseeing the daily operations and logistics, as they relate to football nutrition.

  • Assist in overseeing meal ordering and menu development.

  • Assist in conducting individual consultations with football athletes.

  • Screens supplements for safe use due to NCAA guidelines.

  • Assist in conducting and analyzing body composition testing via InBody scans.

  • Assist in working in collaboration with the Chief of Staff to oversee the budget.

  • Work in collaboration with the Chief of Staff to procure vendors and to maintain relationships/communications with the vendors.

  • Manage and supervise all aspects of operations of Nutrition Center and assigned Fueling Stations, including managing student-volunteers/interns/work study, product inventory, ordering, receiving, and distribution in conjunction with the Football Nutrition Fellow.

  • Maintain effective communication with coaching staff, athletic trainers, strength staff, and other individuals from the Athletic Department on any nutrition-related matter.

  • Serve our student-athletes with a positive, welcoming, and committed attitude.

  • Provide evidence-based nutrition services via individualized and team assessment, counseling, and support.

  • Deliver nutrition education to individuals, teams, recruits, and coaches through a variety of methods.

  • Collaborate with on-site culinary team and off-site food vendors to support execution of fueling services needs.

  • Oversee procurement, inventory management, and food safety standards.

  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

Master's or Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in an appropriate area of specialization required.


Registered Dietitian credentialed by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR), or eligible for registration pending successful completion of the CDR exam required.



Preferred Qualifications/Skills:


Experience delivering sports nutrition services to NFL athletes or Division I collegiate football programs.


Experience coordinating large scale team meals.
