Football Performance Nutrition Coordinator
Job Summary
The University of Nebraska Football Performance Nutrition Program is currently accepting applications for a Football Performance Nutrition Coordinator. The Performance Nutrition Coordinator will assist the Assistant AD of Performance Nutrition with implementing daily performance needs, fueling station management, collecting and inputting nutrition related data, and oversight of daily tasks for nutrition student workers. This position will also assist with inventory, ordering, stocking and billing of football nutrition supplements.
The selected candidate will have a demonstrated commitment to diversity and inclusion. Must be able to work a non-standard work week which may include nights, weekends, and holidays, and travel if needed with the team.
Job Duties/Responsibilities
• Conduct individual sessions, feedback assessment and training, comprehensive nutrition focused assessments for both the student-athlete and team.
• Collaborate with the other dietitians on best practices for Medical Nutrition therapy, performance nutrition and body composition.
• Conduct body composition testing and hydration testing in addition to using nutrition related software such as Smartabase and Teamworks nutrition.
• Learn to develop and present nutrition education in one-on-one settings and team settings.
• Develop tasks lists and oversee student workers.
• Manage the football fueling station along with working closely with specific position groups.
• Travel as needed for football away games.
Minimum Required Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in nutrition or related field or Master’s degree with DPD requirements. Strong communication, interpersonal and team-oriented skills.
Preferred Qualifications: Master’s Degree preferred. Registered Dietitian or Registered Dietitian Eligible preferred. Collegiate or professional sports setting or equivalent. CPR Certified, Serv Safe or Food Handlers Permit. Previous experience using excel or Canva/Piktochart.
